Newt Gingrich is considered one of the frontrunners for the Republican nomination. There is at least one Iowan who won't be voting for Newt Gingrich: Tom Sorensen.

Sorensen approached Newt Gingrich during a recent public appearance and called the candidate a "fucking asshole" to his face. 

Gingrich went to shake hands with Tom Sorensen during an appearance at a grocery store. Sorensen said "you're a real fucking asshole." He went on to say that he was "just being honest."

Gingrich responded: "Luckily, it's a free country," and walked away.

This isn't the first time Gingrich has heard harsh words in Iowa. A while back, a man in Dubuque told Gingrich “you’re an embarrassment to our party.”
