IPL 2013 Live Scorecard: RCB vs RR - IPL 6 Match 27 Live Score
Virat Kohli, the Royal Challengers Bangalore captain, opted to field in the Pepsi Indian Premier League encounter against Rajasthan Royals at M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday (April 20).
Speaking ahead of the toss, Rahul Dravid, the Rajasthan captain and a Bangalore boy, admitted it was strange to play in Bangalore as the visiting captain. “Yes, it is a little bit strange,” he said. “I’ve known the ground since I was a kid, it’s been like a home to me. The crowd here is always brilliant. Coming here to Bangalore and playing again, it’s special.”
Both teams named changes to their respective sides. Kohli made three changes, bringing in Tillakaratne Dilshan, RP Singh and Saurabh Tiwary, who got his first game in IPL VI, in place of KL Rahul, Andrew McDonald and J Syed Mohammad. Rajasthan went for an injection of pace, bringing in Shaun Tait and S Sreesanth, leaving out Kevon Cooper and Ankeet Chavan.
Both captains admitted dew would be a factor as the game progressed, but both also suggested that it was a “good wicket” for Twenty20 cricket.
“It won’t change too much in character,” said Dravid about the pitch. “We’d have done the same (field first), but if we put up the pressure with a big total, like we have done, we can do well.”
