IPL 2013 Match 69: Kings XI Punjab vs Mumbai Indians Live Score
Kings XI Punjab host Mumbai Indians today in the 69th game of the Indian Premier League 2013 season (16:00 IST start).
Punjab had a good match against the Daredevils, with both bat and the ball. They overcame a slow start to score 171/4 in their 20 overs thanks to a blazing effort by David Miller at the end of the innings, before their bowlers controlled the opposition well enough till the end.
Sandeep Sharma was the star of the show as he ended with three wickets and conceded only 23 in the four overs. There were also good spells from Praveen Kumar and Parvinder Awana, and given the way the pitch behaved in the game, it won't be too much of a surprise to see the side go in to this one with four quicks too.
The track might play in the hands of the Mumbai Indians though. While in recent games, spinners Harbhajan Singh and Pragyan Ojha have done well, they possess a fine pace bowling department led by Mitchell Johnson and Lasith Malinga.
With Dhawal Kulkarni backing them up nicely, the team may look to bring in one of the other pace bowlers in place of the spinners if the pitch so demands. Munaf Patel hasn't played since the game against Delhi on April 21st and if fit, he could make a comeback.
