Pune Warriors vs Mumbai Indians Highlights of Indian Premier League 2013, 58th T20 Match Played at Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium, Pune on 11th May 2013.
Mumbai Indians secured a five-wicket IPL win over the Pune Warriors with seven balls remaining in Pune. As a result of the victory, Mumbai move into second place in the IPL standings.
The hosts batted first with middle-order talisman Yuvraj Singh top scoring with 33, having shared a fine partnership with number three Manish Pandey (29).
But the visitors reached their target with an over and a ball remaining as Rohit Sharma scored 37 off 41 balls, with Ambati Rayudu also chipping in with a valuable 26 from number five after opener Sachin Tendulkar had fallen for 15.
But the victory was set up by Mumbai bowlers Mitchell Johnson, Abu Nechim and Lasith Malinga, all of whom finished up with two wickets from their four overs.
Ashok Dinda also took two wickets as he led the way for Pune in response, but Glenn Maxwell and Harbhajan Singh were able to coolly lead their side to the win in the penultimate over of the match.
Captain Sharma was full of praise for his side after the win: "All credit goes to the boys, whatever changes I have made on the field, they are responding very well, it is really working out very well for me. We should carry the same momentum."
In the day's other match, Sunnrisers Hyderabad bowled superbly as they ran out winners by 30 runs against King XI Punjab.
Hyderabad batted first and made 150-7, with opener Parthiv Patel's 61 from 47 balls the only telling contribution.
Yet the modest score proved more than enough thanks in large part to brilliant efforts with the ball by Sunrisers, with the miserbly bowling being led by Darren Sammy taking four wickets and conceding just 22 runs in his four overs.
