Iran to Build More Nuclear Plants

In a move that seems to be thumbing their nose at the International Atomic Energy Agency(IAEA), the Iranian news agency, Irna, has announced the building of 10 more nuclear plants.  President Ahmadinejad has maintained that the plants will be strictly for the production of electricity, while many countries fear that they will be weapons building structures.

Irna, Iran's state news agency, said on Sunday that construction of five plants whose locations had already been decided would start within the next two months, while suitable locations would be found for the other five.

The building of uranium enrichment facilities in Iran has been cloaked in secrecy and has led to censure by the IAEA.  Tensions in this area of the world are high with the conflict in Iraq, and the situation between Gaza and Israel.  Israel has nuclear weapons and has been vocal in its protestations about a nuclear armed Iran
