In a predictable decision the filtering committee of the Ministry of the Islamic Guidance blocked two internet sites where followers of the former President Khatami provide support to the reformist president. Khatami has recently announced that he will run for the next election. The decision has brought the conservatives, who call themselves Fundamentalist, to a boiling point. The term fundamentalist in Iran is attributed to those claim they are the true followers of Imam Khomeini. Though, in the eye of reformists, they are solely for the supremacy and most of them use Khomeini as a tool for power clench. The closure of Yari (Assistance) site was hailed by Keyhan newspaper as the stronghold of the conservatives. Though, the managers of this site say that they used to provide news to the nation on a regular and legal basis and the closure is beyond the committee’s jurisdiction. The declaration says that this action in the eve of election means nothing but to block the true news reach the people. “Yari” had bravely disclosed few days before that the spectacle for President Ahmadi Najad who travelled to Yazd province was set by the order of the governor office and folks were brought in with government support and money.
