For the second day, protesters took to the streets of Tehran to voice their opposition to the results of the Iran election. Groups of protestors set fires and smashed store windows in an effort to call into question the election results that saw President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's re-election get re-elected with a healthy majority. The protests have been the worst Iran has seen in more than a decade.

Anti-riot police have fought back and the government has blocked Internet sites used to rally the pro-reform campaign.

Pro-Ahmadinejad forces have also taken to the streets as thousands of people marched in the streets in support of the President. Ahmadinejad seems unfazed by the violent clashes. He has referred to the protests as "not important" and says that the election results were fair and legitimate.

Meanwhile, protests have spread beyond Iran's borders. Approximately 200 people protested outside the Iranian embassy in London. Many of the demonstrators held up signs saying "Where is my vote?" Iranians expats living in London protested because they believe that their absentee ballots weren't properly   counted.

Thanks for this piece, Jon.  Even though the election is over, protests and events are still developing in Iran.

Thanks to Twitter and Youtube, Iranians are sending their messages out to the world, as posted by Amy Judd yesterday.

[UPDATE]: Anti-Ahmadinejad protests are expanding with more rallies in France, the UK, Canada, and Netherlands.

In the Netherlands, about 100 people protested the election result Sunday outside the Iranian Embassy in The Hague, with some brandishing signs reading "Where is my vote?"

On Saturday, about 200 people protested outside the Iranian Embassy in London and 100 demonstrated in Paris in front of the Maison de la Radio, a large complex in Paris where French public radio stations operate.

At the London protest, Hadi Ghaemi, spokesman for the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran, denounced the results as "a Tehran Tiananmen" - a reference to China's brutal 1989 crackdown on pro-democracy activists - and urged the international community not to recognize the vote

Hundreds of demonstrators turned out at a rally in Toronto Sunday - one of a number around the world - to protest the re-election of Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Saturday, June 13, protests broke out at the U.N. Plaza in San Francisco, USA.

Friday’s election in Iran was felt on the streets of San Francisco as hundreds rallied Saturday to dispute the official results declaring Mahmoud Ahmadinejad the winner of that country's presidential race.

Iranian-Americans at Saturday's rally said the results were a sham, a fiction created by Iran's president and supreme leader

Protests are taking place today, Sunday, June 14, at 4 PM PST in Vancouver, Canada, next to the landmark Vancouver Convention Centre.

Protesters will demonstrate against the disputed results and violent aftermath of the Iranian presidential election outside the Vancouver Convention Centre today (June 14) from 4 to 8:30 p.m.

The organizers of the protest have created a Facebook page and Twitter feed for the event.

Hi Jimmy,

I care, but who am I right! What can I do? I can't do much, all I can do is to pray.

It is so sad to see our country, our young generation, our pride, justice, and everything else taken away from us. I hope one day we can live in peace and have freedom. I hope one day we can all live together in a civilized country, I hope one day we all unite and stick together and live in happiness, because that is what we all deserve. Until then we need to be strong, be patient and pray.

Shame on the cheaters. If someone has strong evidences for cheating, they should send them to the press immediately so all cheaters can't refuse what they have done.
