Iran laughing at the USA? Obama give no reason not to
Obama seen a begger by Iran? What happened to the US that brought down the Berlin wall and crushed the USSR's brutal communist regime? Oh ya. George Bush and Democrats. Ronald Reagan would not have been viewed as begging anyone. No one in the world fears Obama or America anymore. Iran laughs at the US Administration and for good reason. The US is no longer a threat to anyone but themselves. What's the worst the Obama Administration can do? Send Hillary overseas to whine, shake her finger and generally lose her cool under pressure? Oh well, Obama is doing a great job of the US ecomony, right? Nevermind!
US President Barack Obama will not prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. This is the stark reality facing Israeli decision-makers, who will be forced to risk the ire of a deeply hostile president if the development of an Iranian nuclear bomb is to be derailed.

Photo: APNo doubt the Obama administration claims to be worried, with Defense Secretary Robert Gates stating on July 16 that an Iranian bomb is "the greatest current threat to global security." But the same administration has no plan to ensure that the threat does not materialize - and is attempting to ensure that Israel doesn't either.
The Iranians have already called Obama's bluff. An Iranian newspaper referred to the American agenda on July 26 this way: "[T]he Obama administration is prepared to accept the prospect of a nuclear-armed Iran... They have no long-term plan for dealing with Iran... Their strategy consists of begging us to talk with them."
The president's stance on Iran, and what it says about his anti-Israel bias, cannot be wished away. On August 3 Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called the eviction of two Palestinian families illegally living in Jerusalem homes "deeply regrettable," but politely asked Iran for help in locating "the whereabouts of the three missing Americans" - that Iran had taken hostage - "and return[ing] them as quickly as possible." This is an administration more worried about ensuring a Judenrein future Palestinian state (settlements being only the tip of the iceberg) than ensuring the safety of the Jewish state or preventing the dramatic shift in the balance of power that will come with an Iranian nuclear weapon.

Having worked first hand to stop nuclear proliferation, I know that like it or not, the spread of nuclear technology is as inevitable as the tides. The problem is not Iran with nuclear technology...both Japan and German, bitter enemies from WWII, have stocks of plutonium and engineering expertise to become nuclear-armed powers overnight. Is this a nightmare? No. Because they are mature, responsible governments. Imperfect, yes, but not hostile. For the "bomb your problems away" crowd, it may be hard to hear that sometimes the best thing to do is nothing, if things are already going in the direction you want. Support for the regime in Iran is rapidly unraveling. Regime change brought about via INTERNAL discontent is the fastest, cheapest, and best way to deal with threat of a nuclear Iran. It is not the technology that it is the problem, only the nature of the regime that controlls it. Bombing Iran won't change the regime, it is about the only thing we could do to strengthen it.

I really don't think that having a nuclear weapon was ever a plan in Iran, I believe there is can understanding with Russia that should not be so. We do not associate the closeness of Russia to Iran and realize that Russia does not want Iran to have a nuclear weapon.
Now that the inspectors have been allowed back in we will proberly find Iran has not been lying. However I do believe its been the biggest joke in Iran.

Did you ever hear of negotiations? This is what Prez Obama and Hilary Clinton are trying to do. And if you think that is weakness then you are obviously a conservative nutcase. George Bush and his sidekick Cheney took us into two wars with no reason whatsoever. And we are still there and hopefully Obama can get us out of the morass that has been created in those two countries. Oh and they also created this recession we are in as well as the world.
Iran is a dictatorship and pretty much does whatever they want and to hell with the rest of the world. Did you notice that the people there are not happy with their leadership. So are you suggesting that we should go in and bomb the hell out of them? We are now trying to use diplomacy. What a concept? New to you?

I made none of the points you are falsely trying to ascribe to me. I an neither conservative nor (as you so elloquently stated) a "nutcase". You have no evidence of either. Do you really need to stoop to ad hominem attacks?

I am too busy to go out. You wanna come over and help me stock up the bomb shelter? Afterwards I have some great Lynden LaRouche videos we can watch!

As much a I find myself disallusioned and appalled by our current wars, I will admit Afghanistan can be justified even though Iraq cannot. There is actual proof Al-Quaida was there. Haven't heard much about them in a while even though they attacked us.
I concure with the unneccesary and blantant ignorance of the ad hominem (and non sequiter) fallacies presented. Please refrain from such, and present a logical argument that enhances or in some way contributes to the discussion without becoming overly abraisve towards the person(s) presenting a rebuttle.
