Iran, Pakistan forces launch joint operation against the Baluch
The joint forces of two Islamic republics, Iran and Pakistan, have launched an operation against the secular Baluch people in the Mekran area of Baluchistan. Helicopter gunships of Iran and Pakistan are targeting Baluch villagers in Tump, Mand near Turbat in Mekran.
According to www.thebaluch.com, reports coming in from Kulber Valley, Balochistan, state that for the past three days Iranian and Pakistani military forces have conducted a joint operation against the Baloch located in the border valley of Kulber, Shahaaf. Baloch media is providing real-time updates regarding this operation in which gunship helecoptors, jet air fighters and heavy guns are employed. The details of this brutal operation are not being reported by the international press. The scenes in Kulber Valley are of death and destruction: civilians and livestock have been killed and crops destroyed. Civilians are trapped and unable to secure food supplies.
Though Baluchistan means the land of the Baluch, both Iran and Pakistan have illegally occupied the Texas-sized territory. Also in the past, during the 1973-77 Baluch war of liberation, Tehran and Islamabad ganged up to target the Baluch freedom fighters. The Baluch are urging secular forces from around the world to aid them in their struggle.
Meanwhile, the largest Baluch organization that groups together both Baluch and Americans in the U.S., the American Friends of Baluchistan, has appealed to U.S. government agencies not to be blackmailed by Islamabad and Tehran to brand the Baluch as terrorists as they are a secular alternative to religious extremism. The A.F.B. is also urging the U.S. , Canadian and the E.U. governments to grant visa waiver to Baluchi-speaking folks from Pakistan and Iran who are escaping Nazi-style brutalities.
On the other hand Sagaar.org reported as follow: “According to reports received by Sagaar, there is an operation going on in Awaman (Tump), where Pakistani and Iranian forces have joined hands to quell the ongoing Baloch movement for Independence. Gunship helicopters are being used and heavy artillery is targeting the unarmed civilians in the area. A complete shutter down strike is being observed in the adjacent areas of Awaman, including Turbat and Mand. The local people are on roads and protesting against Iran and Pakistan. Sagaar
