Iran is still a danger and even as we
celebrate president Obama we must
remember that unless there is some
international watchdogs present in
Gaza Iran will rearm Hamas and
another war will result.
According to the latest intelligence assessments, Iran, which was responsible for writing Hamas's military doctrine, has already launched an internal probe to determine how the plan it had created for Hamas failed to cause more IDF casualties.
The military plan created by the Iranians was based on three pillars: The first was the defensive measures that Hamas had created in Gaza, which included dozens of kilometers of tunnels and thousands of roadside bombs and booby-trapped homes.

AND....the US is moving 3000 tonnes of arms to israel as we speak! cease fire? - maybe they're just out of ammo. Or something else is on the horizon....
If your worried about pariah states, how many of them were armed by the west in the first place!? hrmmm...iran, iraq, etc..

Seems the west will let Israel do whatever its likes as usual, "oh sorry we killed UN personnel" thats ok, continue till your done and we'll talk about it later(you think that will happen?).
Yes Iran are probably not helping things, but can you think what fueled the anger? 1.5million injured - "Eye for an eyelash" springs to mind?
Something has to give soon and its not going to be pretty. Nuke's or WWIII anyone? But its ok, what Israel wants - it seems to get, while everyone watches in the sidelines? no?

I oppose the US giving arms or money to any other nation or group/
If you speak of a pariah, Hamas is the worst on earth. This is not to excuse Israel but Hamas is far worse.

Guess Iran wants to see Hamas wiped off the face of the earth!

If they rearm Hamas they may get their wish.

You need to look at Israel's enemy.
Hamas boasted they will defend Gaza, make it a cemetery for Israelis, yet when fighting started they hid in holes like rats, the leaders are still there, and brave Hamas ''fighters" ran to their dens while 1500 Gazans died. If Hamas had any ''fighters" willing to fight they could have killed more than the 5 Israeli soldiers killed in the fighting.

~1500 dead, 1/3 of which were innocent women and children?
Is that something to be really proud of? kind of hard when your fighting goliath with a slingshot, or small rockets against one of the most advanced military forces on the planet with F16's dropping laser guided bombs. Didn't they kill 7 other Israelis? (but over the last 7yrs).
Im sorry but those actions and acts of extreme aggression speak volume to people - they'll have no sympathy here whatever they've been "promised".

No death in war is something to be proud of. I am saying Hamas swaggered on the border pretending to be brave, then hid in holes like rats when the shooting started. That is cowardly, especially when their people were dying.
Hamas leaders were idiots for provoking a strong military power with uny rockets. They are responsible for every dead Gazan.
And when Hamas was destroying Fatah in 2007 they used all their heavy weapons to kill them even though Fatah was lightly armed and far outnumbered.
C'est la guerre.
And the UN has declared firing rockets at civilians, any rockets, as a war crime.

Yes, but isn't starving an occupied territory of food, goods, medicine and shelter also a crime?
I hope they do try them for war crimes, before they get another bee in their bonnet and who knows what they will do next....

Hamas is even more guilty.
No one in Gaza has starved and 2/3 of Gazans are fed by the UN.
Hamas leaders should be tried first, then look at Israel.

Hrmmm... how long as the unlawful border blockade been in place between the two regions? they even cut the power sometimes. Ok a few militants have launched a few rockets, but do you think its good to punish and kill a civilian population they way have? Couldn't Israel figure out another way than deadly force?

Hamas has said they are at war with Israel.
That makes a blockade legal.
Hamas has fired over 4,000 rockets at Israel.
But I agree war is not a good option to resolve this.
