Sixteen Revolutionary Guard members in Iran were arrested for attempting to join the Iranian "people's movement" amidst the nation's upheaval after the Iran elections. According to the Cyrus News Agency (CNA), all sixteen were commanders or senior members of the Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps, three of whom were veterans of the Iran-Iraq war. The commanders were arrested for being in contact with those who could help them join the movement against the Iranian government.
"These commanders have been in contact with members of the Iranian army to join the people's movement," CNA reports. "Three of the commanders are veterans of Iran-Iraq war. They have been moved to an undisclosed location in East Tehran." This report has not been confirmed by other sources.
As mentioned, this report has not been confirmed by other sources. If accurate, there are important implications suggesting that the Iranian regime is losing loyalty even from its own defenders and upholders.

Well, at least those 16 did what the guard was meant to do, uphold the will of the people.
