Canada’s CBC News is reporting that shots have been fired in central Tehran as tens of thousands of Iranians continue to defy government orders by gathering downtown, hours after the country’s supreme leader ordered an investigation into allegations of fraud in the presidential election which saw President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad declared the winner.  An unconfirmed report by an Iranian photographer claims that one protester has been shot dead.

EDITOR’S NOTE: ACORN has yet to be linked to the charges of election fraud in Iran.
