Post elections there are unprecedented violent street demonstrations against the election result and President Khamenei has ordered an official investigation into the conduct of the election. Khamenei is not President. Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Hoseyni Khāmene’i is the "Source to Imitate/Follow" and is Supreme Leader of Iran. The Iranian President is subordinate to Khamenei, as is all others.
