Iran propose to continue 'talks' on uranium enrichment but claims her "nuclear rights", or in other words,  it has no plans to halt enrichment..see here . But Netherlands, in a fair attempt to prevent nuclear proliferation, bans Iranian students from nuclear studies in her universities. It seems to me that nothing will stop the Iranian craving for the bomb..

THE HAGUE (AFP) The Netherlands will ban Iranian students from studying nuclear technology, a source of tension between Iran and world powers, at its universities, the government said Friday.

"It is forbidden... to grant Iranian nationals access to special training or teaching that could contribute to nuclear proliferation activities in Iran and the development of systems for transmitting nuclear arms," the foreign ministry said in a statement.

Some powers including the United States suspect Iran of seeking to develop a nuclear bomb. Iran insists its nuclear program is aimed at producing energy to serve a growing population.

Friday's measure adds to a Dutch decree adopting international sanctions against Iran that were put in place last year.

It bans Iranians notably from the nuclear reactor in Borssele in the southeastern Netherlands, and from a test reactor at the Delft University of Technology.

The ministry said the ban does not cover undergraduate studies up to bachelor's degree level, which are considered not to be specialised, and that it will consider requests for exceptions to be made.

this is a great decision, now let's hope the rest of the world, univerisites, colleges, etc. does the same. North Koreans maybe should be included in this ban too.

Rene, Iran has well equipped universities and research centers, and has very capable scientist of her own, who can assimilate from every sources the experience and theoretical material they need, and know how to make the necessary changes fitting their specific needs. You can not make a nuclear device if you don't have your own infrastructure. This is the real danger. The Netherlands ban is a step in the good direction but a bit to late..and from a global view very modest. Look here and you will see what I mean.

And thanks for the comment and the GS.

so an iranian student is not allowed to study chemistry or physics? how can you all say that sounds like a good idea. it's discrimination and
