Iraq inquiry turns to weapons of mass destruction claim
Once again the weapons of mass discusion WMD are under question which will more and likely be skipped over in the final report if Gordon Brown wants it all white washed. We will find out if this committee is truthfully independent of which normally is never the case.
The UK government's claim that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction is being probed by the official inquiry into the war.
On its second day of hearings in London, the Iraq inquiry is questioning former senior Foreign Office staff Tim Dowse and William Ehrman.
They will discuss the intelligence available to ministers on Iraq's weapons prior to the US-led invasion.
The inquiry is not expected to report its full findings until 2011.
The reasons for going to war in Iraq - including the now discredited claim that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction which could be used within 45 minutes of an order being given - are a long-standing source of controversy.

[CIA] Report: No WMD stockpiles in Iraq (CNN, October 7, 2004)
Either, a lie by one, or a conspiracy of many with the intention to wage a war against innocents -- for profit.
IMO:)!

I think the question here also is how the intelligence, that both the Bush administration and the UK Government was present with, was obtained? Was it pressure by the government to come to this conclusion, or was it something the intelligence agencies really believed?

Sometimes truth prevails, my fingers are crossed, let hope honest men and women talk and honest people judge. It would put the fair play back in to Great Britain in my opinion, something I would like to see.

Truth never prevails when it should - but then again you never know...
The report comes out in 2011 and there is a good change the current UK government may be out of power by then, it's already happened in the USA.
The people whom would want to block the report won't have as much power.

takes them 3 or 4 times longer to find out info that was discovered in a few months. 7 years after the fact, when many sources may be dead!
anyone else see a problem with this?
bunch of BS, if you ask me.

You guys are forgetting they kill many more of each other than we do and they have been before we even got on the scene. plus they kill our soldiers too.
and it's all about going to Paradise with all those goodies they are promised. with all their specious reasoning: who's the real heir to their 'Perfect Man'. and 'you don't believe right so it's okay to kill you." so now they are on their righteous jihad and they get their ticket to Paradise.
The real trick is, both sides become martyrs for allah, and both sides get tickets to Paradise, except the women.
These people do not think or reason any where near where us 'Westerners' think.
I don't know how to make this clearer to you.
