Well, well that's what its all about...

To the winners goes the spoils, err well oil in this case,  Iraq oil wells. Oh China, lost...

Its now time to exploit Iraq, the new regime needs to fund its new security force and everything is nearly on track. Whilst Afghanistan as been the main news things are getting ready for USA to move out, well not everyone. Remember those bases some guys have to stay to man them as they are USA is not going to let anyone change the status quo, got to protect the investment and go to look after capitalist investment. I expect it will be a token force of about 20,000 military mainly air support.

The terrorist of course slowed up the process of a complete favorable regime change but terrorist or no terrorist US will dig in deep to secure the oil and gas.

A joint venture between the UK's Shell and Malaysia's Petronas oil companies has won the right to develop Iraq's giant Majnoon oil field.

The venture offer beat a rival bid from France's Total and China's CNPC.

A total of 44 companies are bidding for 10 fields in the second live auction to take place this year.

Eight contracts to run oil and gas fields were up for tender in June, although only one was agreed - with BP and CNPC.

UK's Shell and Malaysia's Petronas oil companies

Better send some UK and Malaysian troops to protect those assets.

Follow the money. US interests are in the oil supply to its biggest competitor. UK loves America Malaysia provides cheap labor and cheap services. UK went into the Iraq war concerned about its oil interests and shells backing of the Labour party. Every body is a winner with China being a customer UK being a supplier and Malaysia providing work for its some of its work force of whom are Muslim's many speaking Arabic.

UK is a puppet of US capitalist as well as it home grown the international oil corporates are also big string pullers. USA protects its allies and needs a jump f point in the heart of the Middle East.

China may have lost this round, but they aren't out of the picture.

And it's still all about the 'black crack'! As it always has been and will always be... Until there is none left and then the greedy will move on.  What will it be then, stardust?
