Bottom line is that we Americans spend $900 billion on this war (and counting). Did we get a return on cost? What is it?

First off, you are wrong. CBO says the Iraq war costs $709 billion. Get your facts straight. Second, Obama's stimulus cost more than the ENTIRE Iraq war. Read it: bit.ly/cht8dL Third, the whole "Think of all the poor people that money could have fed!" is a glaring canard of logic. You can't legislate away poor people or poor old people or any other number of ills. And... Copernicus... BUSH SPENT MORE ON EDUCATION THAN HE DID ON THE WAR. Get your facts straight. Or better yet, quit pulling them out of your duodenum. 38.7 million Iraqis were freed from tyranny. Democracy has a new foothold in the middle east.

You have not provided any sources other than CBO, and it is a point of time issue. Costs are continuing. My source is current.
At present, the Iraqis appear to be better off. The question is, was that our job? Are we better off? What price did we pay for their current state of improvement.
Will they be able to sustain it?
PS: The $900 billion is a Sept 2010 estimate.
