How is Jesus really described in the Bible? How does Jesus describe himself? In the book of Matthew: 19: 16 - 17 "And behold, one came and said unto him, "good master, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?" And he said unto him, "why callest thou me good? (there is) none good but one, (i.e.) God, but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments." matthew 23 9 "and call no man father upon the earth: for one is your father which is in heaven" Matthew 24 36 "but of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my father only". Matthew 14 23 "and when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray" . If Jesus is God or a part of God then why did he pray? I will be paying my respects to jesus this christmas, happy holidays whoever you are.

You raise some good points.

Jesus is the son of God. Prayer is a way of talking to God.

As to the exact nature of Jesus and God, we do not know or need to know.

The Koran says, III--5

"the Book, wherein are verses clear that are the Essense of the Book".....

and that of some  other verses "none knows its interpretation, save only God."

Happy holidays to you.

Prayer is obviously talking to God but talking about what? Thanking God, asking for something or apologising for a sin. What else do people talk to God about ? As a muslim I do not believe God has children, I pray that those that do pray only to God for anything else is idolatry and sure fire ticket to hell. Why pray to the son and not the father anyway, dont fathers outrank sons? You quoted the quran wrong 158 surat 3 (the family of Imran) verse 5 "truly nothing is hidden from God in the earth or in the heaven". And the versus that no one knows the meaning of are versus from the quran not the bible. Happy imaculate conception day and happy Eid. I plan to write something soon about the book of mary 19th chapter (surat) of the Quran

Prayer to God can be about anything, just like talking to a human father, it is not always asking for something or repenting.

Many bible verses are also unclear, and, just as the Koran says, there is dissension over them.  There is much Christian dispute over how Jesus is both God and son of God. As they speak the same words I do not worry about how they relate.

I plan to follow your writing.  I will read surat 19 soon.

And a very happy Eid to you.

Yep and he has he special line with Sarah Palin. She's doing Gods will.

Yeah, yeah, the message was shooting, killing, fighting, cheating. Good message.

No Barack Obama brings the right message. No idea who is involved. God, Jesus, Allah or all together.

Respect, peace and happy holidays.
