islamic propaganda exists, but it mostly follows previous propaganda made in the west with all its prejudice and hatred. good example- the Protocols. there was a lot of racist politics in US. as well 50 and more years ago.. {Clan, etc..} even nowadays anti american propaganda still exists in US.- good example is Ron Paul. his isolationism is also extreme and if he could fulfill his declared goals, US. would become Brasil or even worse. media would not say that, because of their political correctness. I have to praise Al Jazeera and its coverage of Lybian conflict. there was no anti western sentiment in their reporting. it can be a path for arab media to follow.
Al Jazeera is based out of Qatar, which is quite different from the rest of the Middle East. For one it's the world's wealthiest country; for another they have liberal institutions. Certainly if more of the Middle East can be like Qatar in these respects then things will improve. It's possible. However there are many other possibilities.
