Israel Bunkers Down Prepares for War Crime Charges

World sentiment is growing that the state of Israel has knowingly committed atrocious war crimes against Palestinian children and civilians. The reason for the war crimes and child murder that Israel gives in the blogosphere and press demeans and dishonors the victims of anti-Jewish crime. The general excuse that charges against Israel are based on anti-Semitism are not only baseless but toy with the horror and terror that many residents of Israel have known first hand or through family in the past. Such excuses are dangerous and exploit one holocaust for another.

"Charges of war crimes are now being leveled—and justifiably so—at the Israelis, many of whom themselves come from families that suffered in the hands of the Nazis over 60 years ago and now claim that the Holocaust was the only tragedy—as if the far more numerous deaths of goyim throughout the world after 1945 count for nothing. The United Nations and human rights groups are demanding that Israel be brought to justice for what now amounts to having killed over 1300 Gazans with immense firepower, many of which, like phosphorous bombs, are illegal. Israel has already prepared its senior officers to be ready to defend themselves against war crimes charges and Israeli Attorney General Menahem Mazuz several weeks ago warned the government was expecting a “wave of international lawsuits.”

Calls from citizen journalists, concerned citizen groups, NGO organizations and international governing bodies such as the UN to prosecute the state of Israel for war crimes are not abating, nor should they. Clearly the general global public are concerned that if such crimes are not prosecuted the world is greatly endangered, not only emboldening factions of the Muslim world to react in kind, but in the loss of confidence in civil society and its guarantees of responsible and humane actions in times of war and peace.

There are many sites online that are encouraging all who wish to nip war crimes from becoming a standard as they were in the Bush Guantanamo era and the Israeli Gaza terror to act now and speak up, petition and continue to keep the issue of Israeli war crime present so that those responsible in Israeli are prosecuted and sentenced and free the decent Israeli public from any potential revenge or slander.

When did hamas try peace. Their charter says they will eliminate Israel. Yesterday one of their top leaders said they will rearm and fire even more rackets at Jewish babies.

Hamas tried peace when they held the ceasefire that Israel broke. And peace involves justice ans as long as Israel steals their land, commits international crime by setling land they occupied on the pretense of military security action, check international law on that if you like, and as long as Israel denies Palestinian their human rights, life and liberty, no peace is possible. YOu sound like a jailer upset that abused inmates don't accept a fate you demand and enforce with deadly force, even killing their children!

Adn you ought to check that war crime involves massacre, mass murder, genocide, ethnic cleansing. A war crime is perfectly defined by the Israeli baby and child murder in Gaza over the past month, 420 torturousl murdered, some burned, others smothered. You ought to do what you can to retribute those families rather than searching for meager excuses that are in fact no excuse. YOu know it's like a wifebeater's argument, when he says she made me do it. No one made Israel murder hundreds of children in Gaza over the past month alone.

There is irrefutable evidence and proof that the Hamas executed their own and used their own in booby trapped homes and civilian institutions that they fired and used fo war.

I suppose you could add Israel to your list if you count the number of children murdered and terrorized by Israeli soldiers, even using the children as human shields. Israeli soldiers in Gaza corralled families into the ground floor rooms and took up positions in their house, using them as human shields. It's a common Israeli tactic that would equate them with other terrorists. Israeli soldiers also take children at unpoint and trapse through the Gaza streest using them as human shields as well.

Al Qaeda is a far cry from Hamas. Iran is a country with an amazing culture that has serious and dangerous aspects now broght on in part by Israels mass murder of Palestinians. Dialogue with Iran, respecting them as a nation with the same rights as Israel - the right of all nations to destroy their nuclear stockpiles and banned weapons of war. Withour respect, tolerance and communication, Iran and Israel may bring the world to a brink, that is totally unnecesary.

I personally think that Hamas is not the best choice for Palestinians. But then Bush was also a terrorist torutring and economy destroying regime. Still it is the Palestinians and the Americans who must choose their leaders. The only influence that can be efective externally is diplomatic, aid, cultural exchange, celebration, and fairness. You cannot have a nuclear weapon and expect other nations not to have this now banal available technology.

If Israel bombs Iran on the pretext that they possess nuclear capability, are you stupid enough to think that it's only a matter of a few months or years until that capability pops up somewhere else? I don't think so. Your thinking is short-term but life on the planet is long-term. Only respect, tolerance, fairness and not massacring, stealing land, and hoarding one's own nuclear arsenal will lead to long term peace. Why not?

I read the article and checked their sources and I didn't see anything indicating (1) serious peer review scholarship or (2) primary sources. Indeed, they seem to reference each other as sources, also know as a circle-jerk.

Since this refutes all historical, demographical, and anthropological research, I would like to read more on this so please provide authoritative sources.

That's Sumer pal, smack dab in the middle of southern Iraq. If you're going to invoke the 'word of god' please at least get your sources straight. The black 'Falasha' Jews of Ethiopia are the anomaly, not the other way around as your article suggests.

Also, the Khazar myth of Ashkenazi origins has been floated by every major anti-Semite from Arthur Koestler to Jim Keegstra. Like other racists, you claim the Khazars were European people? Nice try. Khazars were central Asian nomads - Turkish, perhaps, or maybe even Mongol-like - who invaded, settled and ruled the Caspian area from their capital at Itil on the Volga delta. These people were not Europeans and in all likelihood resembled other people of central Asia more than European. Yes, they converted to Judaism, but there is absolutely nothing beyond mere speculation - and very far-fetched historically and ethnographically - to even begin to suggest that they survived in large numbers and migrated west to become the Ashkenazi.The Diaspora and the Roman Empire are far more likely explanations, but less convenient to anti-Semitic Jewish conspiracy theories.

There is no racism here, no blame, no ignoring, just a civil measured attention to fact. You're argument is using the terrible history suffered by the European Jews in the early and mid-20th Century and expoliting it actually. Don't you find that disrespectful of both that reality and the reality that for every 1 Israeli killed, 100 Palestinians are massacred, not to mention the hugely disproportionate ratio of children that died provoked by the land theft and Israeli serial murder of Palestinians and the regular destruction of their economic and social freedom? Often there is projection in the person who makes your arguments. I would not like to see that you take racism so unseriously that you might fall into its trap and from your apparent callousness develop racist views of humanity that has caused so much loss and pain wherever it rears its ugly head.

It is Hamas that is guilty of war crimes. If you hide your missles and rockets amoung women and children, is it any wonder that those women and children wind up as casualties of war. From day 1 of the Gaza bombing, Hamas had the option to stop shooting rockets into civilian areas in Israel. They chose not to and were willing to let their own people get killed, civilians, so they could continue to try and kill innocent Israelis. Hamas is the one guilty of war crimes.

your claim of hiding rockets in a zone where there is no Israeli appoval or funding to build military bases, and in a zone under Israeli siege, one of the most densely inhabited (that includes women and children fyi) urban areas, what do you suppose is the case when Israeli terror strikes in what they say themselves is in the general direction of some Palestinian defending their kids from more killing?

Is it not too often the case that being objective is sluffed off as indicating some hidden personal anti-this-or-that agenda. Mistaking objectivity as being diametrically opposed to or 'revenging' subjectivity, denies the terms meaning not as opposites but as compliments. The apparent logic of setting objectivity up as the opposite of subjectivity is rhetorically effective to a point, but it only seeds and excuses revenge that results in the sort of war criminal actions that Israel currently is trying to deny and justify, reputing habeus corpus, human rights and a real chance at peace and freedom for Palestinians.

I am so curious to find out how Palestine will in a generation symbolically and in reality foster stability and mitigate fear in the region and perhaps around the world. If only Israel would just play ball and in the first inning prosecute and support international prosecution of the war criminals in their midst.

yes, Israel built the first version of Windows i believe. quite a contribution to technology, uggh.

but true there are many many contributions by israelis and lets not forget that computer science is Islamic at its orginal. The word 'algorithm' is not rooted in Al Gore's rhythm, but the english mispronounciation of the Islamic polymath who first dreamed up in math the idea of a set of instructions that is the algorithm, named after him Al Kwarizmi, if i am spelling that right :-) he lived in what is now Afghanistan.

GPS too is an Islamic invention when very religious Islamic philosophers, writers, scientists, technologist, Al Biruni and colleague triangulated Baghdad and I believe it was Kabul 700 years before Europe had calculus. They invented both the math, science and instrument way back then (no hardware stores around) for what became Global Positioning Systems.

The list goes on. Still Muslims dont use their contibutions to science as a rationale for the mass murder and child-maiming. I don't see your link between Israeli technological accomplishments and their bent to kill Palestinians and invent ghosts as the reason.
