Israel`s Black Jews support Obama
The two and a half hour drive down south to the hot Negev desert was worth the trip.
We met up with Barak Obamas supporters Hoshua and yishaiya of the black hebrews community, black jews originaly from Chicago Obamas home town living in Israel and supporting Obama creating a blog and web page.
We spent the day with them while they where going around spreading the Obama "change" slogan with local residents of the Negev and members of the Black Hebrews community americans with voting rights.
Obamas visit to Israel is a wonderful chance for him to take photos with all the local politicians Olmert,Peres,Barak,Livni,Netanyahu and Palestinian president Abu mazen. During his visit Obama is planned to take a helicopter ride viewing the security barrier and to land for a visit in the town of Sderot.
Also planned forObama is a visit to Yad Vashem museum and to the western wall in the ancient Jewish quarter of Jerusalem, followed by a dinner party at the prime ministers residency.
Most Israelis don`t support him and for all the wrong reasons we had to travell far into the desert to find some suporters and hear from them how refreshing Obama will be to the region after 8 years of Bush.
"It`s a chance for change and Obama is the man for the job he can do it" says Hoshua Ameriel.

So Obama is using a govt-financed trip to campaign in foreign countries? and photo-ops with all these foreign leaders? Israeli leaders, etc, in this instance. very opportunist.
Interesting that you had to go so far afield. What's the take across the borders? He's going to visit the West Bank, right?
