Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert is going to conduct a "dramatic" press confrence tonight at 2000 local Israeli time.
He is due to anounce the end of his politicalcarrier and that he will not be runing again with his "Kadima" party for the next elections, or more dramaticly his resignation from his position as Prime Minister of the state of Israel.
Indeed "dramatic"and everyone is standing bye.
Tzipi Livni number 2 of the "Kadima" party will take his place and make many Israelis happy.
However it`s still not clear what his message will be but it will change Israel`s political map and elections are closer than ever.
At 1700 GMT 40 minutes from now Ehud Olmert`s political carrier will come to an end.
Ehud Olmert anounces this evening in a dramatic unexpected press confrence the end of his political carrier and that he steps down from heading the Kadima political party that now is in power and he will not be running at the next elections.
He sayed that as soon as Kadima appoints its new leader he will step asside from his Position as Israel`s Prime minister that should take place in a few weeks.
Indeed a "Dramatic" evening here in Jerusalem.
Olmert was the most un popular pm Israel has ever had and the last poll sujested it was time for him to make a brave move like he made tonight and step down and make room for some new blood from his "Kadima"party.

For the most part Israeli`s are well fed up with him and need a change, a change from the leaders we are seeing rule this country in the past 20 years no more Benjamin Netanyahu or Ehud Barak and Olmert but some new blood such as Awoman Leader the first since Pm Golda Meir in the early 70`s Tzipi Livni is just the woman for the job.

The bereaved families of soldiers killed in Olmert's Second Lebanon War were outraged that Olmert didn't even mention the war in his news conference last night. Most of the country think Olmert should have stood down last year after the Winograd Commission report that roundly condemned his "leadership" of that fiasco.
This morning's polls all show Netanyahu in the lead by 10% over Livni (Kadima) and Barak, and 20% in the lead if the race were between Netanyahu, Shaul MofaZ (Olmert's Kadima party) and Barak (Labor)...that should tell you what the country thinks of Olmert AND Kadima.
