While I am focused on discovering clean and renewable energy sources, others call for a complete new mechanism of economic thought and an end to capitalism as it is now. Practically, the world needs to rethink the energy component of how we live and work, and that will definitely impact the economic model and associated business models.
Some want to protest the current situation. I say, we are well beyond the protest. It is time for the brightest minds in the world to produce revolutionary new ideas and models for human existence on finite planet Earth.
As it is, human beings are shortening the planet's capacity to support people. We are so reckless that we are failing to educate ourselves about how close to the end of human existence we may be accelerating. Our institutions of government are failing humankind, even the best of them.
Smart people must demand more and assert greater control over human destiny before it is too late.
