The media it seems this past week has been focusing all it's attention including a Front Page News on the tragic Murder of a small Primate killed by Murderer(s) in a Vancouver Zoo.  Hey, surely a tragedy, a day or two of coverage I understand, but enough is enough.

Teams of  Grief Counsellors were sent out to console a grief stricken staff and public who needed consoling.  It seems in Vancouver the "News World Has Stood Still  with attention and $5,000 reward focused on Jocko, and his Mate "Whats her Name" complete with a Eulogy and Memorial service for the slain primate.

If one wonders what is wrong with this Province and it's people, in particular the Lower Mainland, one only has to pick up a paper as "Horrific World Events "seem Eclipsed by Breaking News Coverage of a Monkey Funeral.

Oh yeah, 5,000 Chinese men, women and children died in an earthquake, Burma has 100,000 dead, updates may be forthcoming after the Monkey Funeral and Wake, unless more Breaking Monkey News comes in.

Nothing like a Monkey Funeral to take the Publics mind off Daily Gangland Hits, Rampant Homelessness, Crack addicts and more NewsWorthy events.

Give me a F*cking Break!

VANCOUVER -- As workers at the Greater Vancouver Zoo yesterday mourned the loss of a male spider monkey named Jocko, they expressed hope his female companion of 15 years, Mia, might still be returned by her kidnappers.

"If you have Mia, please bring her home soon," said zoo representative Jody Henderson, visibly upset as she read a eulogy to zoo workers and a few dozen members of the public during a memorial for Jocko.
