The resident of Mussoorie are of the view that the press card shown by the Italian might be a fraud one.When the author contacted the organisation on mail their was no reply from that side.

The International Press Association is based in London.

An Italian who claims to be member of Internatonal Press Association London was caught with invalid Passport and Visa and what he told to press is shocking.He was staying in India from 2004-05 with invalid passport and noone ever checked him.He also went to Kandhmal in Orissa during riots.

MUSSOORIE, 6 Dec: An Italian citizen with an expired Visa and Passport was caught today from Hotel Nishima, Landour Bazaar, by the local intelligence. Luca Maazia, an Italian bearing passport number 592191 V issued on 26 June 2000 and expired on 25 June 2005, with date of birth 2 March, 1965 and multiple Visa no. M 147160 issued on 7 November 2003 and expired on 6 May 2004, was caught by the local intelligence unit when it was on a routine check of the hotels at Landour Bazaar. 
They found that the Luca Maazia, who is also a former member of the International Press Association, London, had been living in Mussoorie for the last 3-4 years. When they checked his credentials, they found to their surprise that the Italian journalist’s visa and passport had expired long ago. The officials brought the Italian national to Kotwali, here, for further investigation and have registered a case against him under the foreigners’ registration act. The IB officials also questioned him thoroughly. 
The proprietor of the Hotel, Nishima Madhukar Jain, and his receptionist, have also been booked for hiding the details. According to Balak Ram, In charge of Kotwali, Maazia will be presented in court after thorough investigation.
