It's Already Started
Back in 2008 there were certain tell tale signs of inevitable things to come. Call it premonitions of foreboding times yet to come. As in my case a gut feeling that something was unraveling in our economy. I began to sense it back in 2007. But, not too many people even paid attention the signs of economic catastrophe that lay ahead. This is especially what happened with what Fannie Mae and the rest of the real-estate bankers were doing in creating the sub-prime fiasco. All of which lead to one of histories most notorious financial disasters to befall the American public.
Now, it is 4 years latter with yet another tell tale sign of inevitable tragic outcomes yet to unfold upon the world's stage. Only this time it is not the real-estate moguls but oil producing countries; particularly Iran. Who knowingly full well of the over-all impact of what any decrease in exportation of their oil production will have on countries whose economic fortunes depend on that oil. With countries like India and China who are becoming more and more of a mobile society whose economy depends on the availability of gasoline and other petroleum products just like the United States; when there is a disruption in the availability of gasoline the price for oil always increases. When that happens whole societies go into a free fall of economic decline. Nations national security and stability are all threatened.
All through-out history wars have been fought over man's most valuable resources. Before the 2nd Industrial Revolution humanity fought over water rights and precious metals. Ever since Henry Ford's automobile mankind has been plagued with brutal hostilities to procure the fuel of the 2nd Industrial Revolution. Today, it is technology that has advanced mankind's knowledge to where the fuel of the 2nd Industrial Revolution is fast becoming obsolete. The only problem now is the political will to let go of the source of energy that propelled and sustained the 2nd Industrialized Revolution to the energy that will spur and support the 3rd Industrialized Revolution. It is that political will which is so entrenched with oil conglomerates where fortunes are continuing to grow for only a select few that is curtailing the development and deployment of the energy of the 3rd Industrialized Revolution.
With so much at stake today because of the greed of a few, certain individuals who wield power and control over their masses and others who continue to hid behind cloaks of deceit and deception knowing full well of their hideous intentions continue to threaten the global sanctity of life. Mankind is again seemingly on a collision course toward Armageddon. It is bad enough what man has already done to this planet because of the political will that has allowed continued mass consumption of fossil fuels. The planets volatility is testament to what global warming is doing to the earth's environment. All caused by the acceleration and the enormity of fossil fuel consumption.
The industrialized nations of the world already have the technology to implement into economies that would off set and eventually replace fossil fuel consumption. But, in so many instances the powers who control the destinies of millions continue on the path of denial while garnishing more wealth in the process by maintaining the status -quo. They openly and continually thwart attempts by others by not supporting the development of say hydrogen fuel cells to power automobiles or implementing the energy Internet to an energy grid so millions of people could now generate their own energy. But no, the powers that control don't want that to happen because of all the money that is involved with keeping the so-called status-quo.
When we have such leaders of countries like Iran who are trying to gain entry into the nuclear brotherhood of other countries only to be ostracized by others and even vehemently opposed by some there is going to be repercussions. What Iran is now doing in curtailing their own oil exports in response to what the global community is imposing against Iran is only further igniting hostilities that could erupt into something far more sinister for the rest of the world. It is time that the technology that is already available be implemented into the economies of the world to replace the growing need to consume the energy of the 2nd Industrialized Revolution. Only then will humanity finally emerge from the quandary that man has imposed upon itself. And, just maybe we will avert destroying ourselfs in the process.
