Ivory Coast: 'Heavy fighting' near Gbagbo residence

The area controlled by Laurent Gbagbo the president of Ivory Coast who refuses to give up power has shrunk to a relatively small area in the main city of Abidjan near his residence. Troops loyal to the man widely thought to have won November’s disputed elections Alassane Ouattara entered the city on Thursday night, heavy fighting has continued. Source close to Mr Ouattara said Mr Gbagbo now has to face justice in the hands of the International Criminal court owing to the mass killings and the mass graves found in the western part of the country.
