Jacob Zuma has been elected South Africa's president by the nation's parliament.

Zuma's party, the ANC, dominates the parliament.

President-elect Zuma will be inaugurated on Saturday.

The parliament of South Africa elected Jacob Zuma as the nation's president Wednesday.

The parliament is dominated by members of Zuma's party, the African National Congress, and the vote was widely expected.

The ANC won about 66 percent of the vote in nationwide parliamentary elections last month.
