Jacqui Smith, hurt over humiliations for her expenses

The laws for politicians seems so very different to the laws for the people.Politically Correct Labour does not deem it fit to punish their own, when their own being Jacqui Smith has clearly been caught with her hands in public funds.

Former home secretary Jacqui Smith today said sorry to MPs for wrongly designating her sister’s house as her main home for expenses reasons.

She also apologised ‘unreservedly’ to Parliament for claiming the cost of porn movies watched by her husband.

Miss Smith was ordered to make the public apology in the House of Commons following an investigation by the Commons Standards and Privileges Committee.

I wonder if it would be different if it were a man.

Come on ...10 pounds for porno, big deal!

As I read further.... claiming over $200,000 for expenses on her sister's house, now that is just wrong, and she doesn't have to pay it back, just a sorry??! NO ACCOUNTABILITY. A crime really!

Where is the incentive for the next guy to be honest?

Former home secretary Jacqui Smith today said sorry to MPs for wrongly designating her sister’s house as her main home for expenses reasons.

They found she was able to claim £116,000 in ‘second home’ expenses on her family house in Redditch, Worcestershire, where her husband and children live.

But in a move that will anger the public, who are already incensed over the wider MPs’ expenses row, she will not have to pay back a penny.

Note: if you're not a Member of Parliament, your mileage may vary in terms of getting off the hook with just an apology.
