James Auchincloss, 63, Was Jailed For 60 Days After Pleading Guilty to Two Counts of Encouraging Child Sex Abuse

The half-brother of Jackie O who carried her train up the aisle when she married John F. Kennedy, was ordered to serve 30 days in jail for each count of child pornography after being caught viewing images of naked boys on his computer. He will also be under a three year probation, undergo treatment, have no contact with minors and has already registered as a sex offender.

His personal assistant Edward McManus, was the one who turned Auchincloss and his friend Dennis Vickoren in to the police when he caught them viewing the images about a few years ago. Vickoren also pleaded guilty to two counts in court on Wednesday and has to serve 60 days in jail reports the Associated Press.

Mr. McManus says he believes that the sentence is not enough.

"I do not feel justice was served, nor was it swift," he said. "I thought I would feel differently today. I thought I would have a sense of closure. I am disappointed."

He claims that Auchincloss kept an extensive collection of child pornography, bur prosecutors said that they could not find any instances of child sexual abuse, although they could identify local children in the photos on Auchincloss' computer.

Defense attorney Carl Caplan told the judge that none of the photos depicted sex acts, and Auchincloss and Vickoren "did not realize they were operating in the world of child pornography."

The two men must also pay $1,000 each in assessments and both apologized for their crimes.
