James Auchincloss, Jackie Kennedy Relative, Sex Abuse Indictment

At a time when the Kennedy clan mourns the death of Senator Ted Kennedy, another distant relative of the Kennedys prepares for jail time. James Auchincloss, the half-brother of Jacqueline Kennedy-Onassis, was indicted for possessing child porn.

James Auchincloss was indicted on 25 felony counts of encouraging child sexual abuse. Auchincloss, who lives in Ashland, OR, is accused of possessing and duplicating child pornography.

Co-defendant Dennis Vickoren was indicted on 30 counts of encouraging child sexual abuse for allegedly disseminating, duplicating and possessing child pornography.

Auschincloss' assistant Eddy McManus, and Sgt. Josh Moulin both provided testimony to the grand jury about the James Auchincloss child porn case.

I think that the crimes alleged in the indictment do accurately reflect the evidence that was presented," he said. Moulin told the grand jury what the task force found on Auchincloss and Vickoren's computers, cameras and other electronic equipment, he said.

McManus testified he saw Auchincloss and Vickoren view child porn on computers and saw CDs with the images on them at Auchincloss' home, he said.

"I told them about them viewing it and making copies of CDs and sharing it with each other and sharing it with friends," McManus said.

An arraignment date has not been set for James Auchincloss.
