RIP James Delorey

December 8,2009 Update:

CBC News Nova Scotia has reported that this little boy that touched so many hearts over the weekend has passed away at "the IWK Health Centre in Halifax".  My deepest regards and blessings for the family and little James' soul.

Original Contribution:

As the story about the missing boy, James Delorey develops we now know he is safe in the care of hospital workers and his family.  He is listed in critical condition, suffering from hypothermia however, may it be of some comfort to the family that at least they now know where he is.

Prayers and wishes go out to James for his speedy recovery.

Paul Maynard, spokesman for Nova Scotia's Emergency Health Services says the boy is suffering from hypothermia and is in critical condition. He was airlifted to the IWK Health Centre in Halifax on Monday afternoon for treatment.

The boy was found around 12:15 p.m. Monday, in thick brush, about 1.2 kilometres from his residence. James had been stranded without a coat, hat or mittens.

Watching the news, they showed his picture & I said a silent prayer for him. I now hope for a good recovery. I wish that we could put devices on our kids so that, in an emergency they could be found. Autisitc children, old people who wander off, anyone at risk at least, the government should give the families some sort of device to allow them to be tracked. The technology exists. Hikers going into the bush should be required to wear or bring a device so the police and rescuers can track them in an emergency. The costs would be lower and the outcomes more successful than what we're doing now.Thank you   Pamela

I agree with 110%! They have the technology however it doesn't make it on the priority lists for modern technology! Intelligence doesnt always reflect common sense!
