James Von Brunn Served 6.5 Years in 1981 Federal Reserve Treason

James Von Brunn, the man identified by CNN and NBC as the suspected shooter in the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC, served 6.5 years in 1983 for storming the US Federal Reserve in 1981. Convicted of treason in that case James Von Brunn maintains it was a lawful attempt to make a citizen's arrest of corrupt federal officials.
In 1981 the New York Times report on James Von Brunn read:
A man complaining of the high interest rates and inflation threatened to take members of the Federal Reserve Board hostage today but was arrested without any shots being fired, a police spokesman said.
The police said that the man, identified as Jim von Brunn, went up to the second floor, where he threatened a security guard with a .38-caliber pistol. The man was disarmed without any shots being fired.
At the time of the Federal Reserve crime James Von Brunn's history with white supremacy groups was already well established. Von Brunn's racist attitudes were clear in both the treason he attempted to commit and the company he kept. Von Brunn even maintained a website, Holy Western Empire to promote his views.
According to the hate group watchdog The Southern Poverty Law Center, Von Brunn is a known associate of National Alliance leader William Luther Pierce. William Pierce may be better known by some as Andrew McDonald, the pseudonym he used to write the white supremacy manifesto book, The Turner Diaries. Von Brunn himself has written a book based on hate called Kill the Best Gentiles.
Von Brunn, apparently a World War II vet, has a long history of white supremacist writing. His book, "Kill The Best Gentiles" embraces Adolf Hitler's view that Jews concocted World War One as part of a scheme to stab Germany in the back--a myth the Nazis used to justify the Holocaust. He also wrote an internet posting complaining that Obama's birth certificate and other documents have not been mad public. In 2003, he claimed to have conducted an invesitgaiotn into the ethnic and religious background of Tommy Franks, the CENTCOM commander at the time, after some US troops were placed under British command in Iraq.
When James Von Brunn entered the Federal Reserve in 1981 he was armed with what was identified by witnesses a "long gun," just as he was on the June 10, 2009 assault on the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC. Von Brunn's attack on the Federal Reserve was provoked by what he claimed was government corruption that was pushing interest rates too high. The 1980's were marked by record high interest rates in the US.
40 days to the date of the Pearl Harbor attacks, James Von Brunn attempted to take a Federal Reserve official hostage and claimed that he had wired the building with bombs. Von Brunn's prior crime may have played a role in why the area around the Holocaust Museum was searched for bombs shortly after the shootout with security guards occurred.
In 1983 James Von Brunn was convicted of treason and was sentenced to 11 years in prison. Von Brunn served 6 1/2 years in jail for that crime. Von Brunn has publicly stated on many occasions that he believes he was convicted by a jury that was tainted by a "Jew/Negro" conspiracy. Von Brunn felt that a Jewish judge had fixed his conviction and that his trial was a "kangaroo court."

Hitler was in Jail him self for trying a coup against the Government.
Yet, managed to accent to power. Why today any one with prior conviction can no longer enter Politics and is striped of his or her rights to vote in Germany.
He seems like a very disturbed Man.
I am really sorry this latest incident happened and could not have been avoided.
