NP Rank:
Jan Schill, John Manthooth's Daughter: 'Do Not Vote For My Dad'
Jan Schill Starts donotvoteformydad.com to Oppose John Mantooth's Candidacy
As John Mantooth runs for district judge, his own daughter is forming a web campaign to stop him. Jan Schill (née Mantooth) worked for the DA office in District 21, which Mantooth is contesting. Schill's husband, Andrew, who is helping with the online campaign against John Mantooth, worked for Mantooth, before later working for Greg Dixon, who is opposing Mantooth for the judge's seat.
John Mantooth believes that Dixon is behind donotvoteformydad.com, which has quite a bit of personal information: a veritable clearinghouse of dirty laundry. It's clear that father and dughter have not gotten along in quite some time, and that situation could well harm Mantooth's campaign, between the website and the quarter-page advertisement which Jill and Andrew Schill took out in a local paper.
District 21 judicial candidate John Mantooth is not a good father, not a good grandfather and in my opinion a review of his 37 year record as an attorney in Cleveland, Garvin and McClain Counties reveals that he would not be a good judge.
Andrew Schill's issue with Mantooth includes a box of chocolates that contained worms, given to him as a gift from his father-in-law:
“My deepest momentary fear was realized when a survey of the remaining chocolate revealed the remains of the numerous worms and weevils that had long ago devoured the aged chocolate,” he writes.
John Mantooth himself neither confirmed nor denied the worm-chocolate story, but lamented the fact that his own daughter was lashing out at him in such a public fashion, and at the potential expense of his career.
"This is a family issue which should have been kept private," he said Monday. "I'm very sad about this. I'm very disappointed. I'm hurt, but I love my daughter, and I want things to get better, and I hope they will."

Anyone ready for a new reality show, probably one involving a therapist, in which people we don’t know or care about teach us why we don’t know and don’t care about them? It will begin with a therapy session in which Jan tears up and blames her father for whatever nicknames small children could have made up from the Jan Mantooth, and end with their reconciliation, followed by John Mantooth’s bid for President.scallywagandvagabond.com/2010/07/jan-schill-does-not-want-you-to-vote-for-her-
