Japan: Aso "gets set for run at LDP presidency" - the Japan Times

JT: At least one candidate has now made it official - Aso Taro, secretary general of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan, has been confirmed by the LDP Presidential Election Committee as a candidate for the party's top spot. By default, this would make him the Prime Minister until elections are held in 2009.
