Jasper Schuringa - The Man Who Stopped Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab

Jasper Schuringa has been identified as the man who stopped alleged Nigerian terrorist Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab aboard Flight 253 yesterday. Mutalab has been caught trying to set off explosives on the Airbus A330 Northwest Airlines plane flying from Amsterdam to Detroit. The alleged Nigerian terrorist was immediately subdued by people on board forcing an emergency landing. Today, one of the those who acted immediately to resolve the potentially life-threatening situation aboard Flight 253 has been identified as Jasper Schuringa. The incident caused the U.S. and international officials to raise airport security.

It was alleged that Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab was trying to inject a syringe with chemicals into powder hidden near his groin. And, apparently that was when passengers started to react. Schuringa said he heard the sound similar to a firecracker and saw smoke coming out from an object between the Nigerian terrorist's legs. Schuringa said he pulled that object to try to put out the fire with his own hands. The struggle resulted in minor burn injuries for Schuringa. He said he screamed for water and dragged Abdul Mutallab out of his seat. Schuringa is also believed to have stripped off the clothes of the terror suspect to check for my explosives. Abdul Mutallab was than handcuffed by the crew and was reported by eye-witnessed to have been out of it and "staring into nothing."

"I am fine. I am shaken up. I am happy to be here."

Schuringa is now widely praised for his courageous effort to thwart a potentially deadly terror attack. He said passengers applauded him as he returned to his seat.Already, there are fan pages appearing for Schuringa on some social networks. His popularity is sure to grow in the coming days. Schuringa is a 32-year-old video director and producer living in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Schuringa is on his way to Miami and Costa Rica for a vacation.

Why would an alleged terrorist try to set of an explosive in his seat for all to see?

Why not go to the bath room and no one would have known what hit them?

Either the alleged terrorist was not very smart or the whole thing is not what it seems to be.

Paschen, the terrorist chose that moment perhaps because passengers are made to remain sitted and cannot get up to go to the bathroom when plane is about to land. The same thing with the personnel on board who were focusing in the landing procedure; and once the passengers are strapped to their seats, they stop looking at them. About being smart: He was a student of engineering in England. Perhaps he had the brains to be a student, but not the brains to stay away from that extreme ideology and fanatism. Terrorists are crazy anyway ... no logic to their actions and that is what makes the whole scenario so terrifying to all of us (the potential victims).

Jasper is not a hero, by all accounts he assisted the crew and was the first person to put himself on the media with a picture of himself. I'm sure it will help with his film business. Self-interest is never part of a heroic act.

Thank GOD for the brave man Jasper that saved the situation. He really is a hero.The stupid Nigerian boy (Abdul Mutallab) should have bombed his father (Alhaji Umaru Mutallab who was a former Nigerian Minister) and the bad leaders in Nigeria (Babangida, Obasanjo, & Atiku, inclusive); who destroyed the country despite the enormous resources (oil wealth) in the country. Rather he chose to attack an American airliner. Stupid boy he is.His house is on fire, but he chose to give water to another man's house swimming pool.MAY GOD SAVE NIGERIA.

Did Abdulmutallab attempt to set off the bomb over Canadian or US territory? Did Jasper Schuringa and/or airline employees make what was in fact a citizen's arrest over Canadian territory or US territory.This should have some affect over Attorney General Holder's "protocol".

How much did he bargain with his sponsor for taken up this nasty and dasterd act? let him rot in jail and his father and other siblings should also be checked if he has not infiltrated or conterminated them with terrorist blood.
