Vancouver:  High speed appears to have been a factor in a two car accident beside the Shell station at Main & 2nd Ave. Thursday night that left both drivers unconscious.

“They were definitely going fast, very fast”, said Gafar, a worker at the Shell station and convenience store who was serving a customer when he heard the crash. “I heard ‘Pow!, Pow!, Pow!, Pow!, Pow! Pow! Pow! Pow!” These noises continued for what seemed like “ one or two minutes", Gafar said just minutes after the accident.

The jaws of life had to be used to remove a driver from one of the cars, the red one in the attached photo.

Gafar said he overheard one of the cops comment about one of the victims, “We were looking for him.”
