Jaycee Dugard: Photos of Crime Scene Leaked

Photos of the yard where Jaycee Dugard was held captive for 18 years were leaked to news outlets by a British photographer named Nick Stern. This is the first time that the public got a glimpse into the Antioch, CA yard which was the focus of national- and global- attention since last week, when Phillip Garrido and Nancy Garrido were arrested for holding Jaycee Lee Dugard captive for 18 years, repeatedly raping her and leaving her with two children.

The Jacyee Lee Dugard yard photos show the squalid conditions in which she and her two children were held, including dirty tents and sheds.

The photographs — published on Sunday by The Sunday Times of London, The New York Post and a number of British Web Sites — were shot without permission by an English photographer, Nick Stern.
Stern said that he didn't consider the area a crime scene, which strikes me as a strange thing to say... since it's an internationally famous crime scene at the moment.

Meanwhile, Phillip Garrido is listed as a "person of interest" in themurders of nine women in Contra Costa County as the police bring in cadaver-sniffing dogs to scope out the yard.

A trust fund has been established to help Jaycee Dugard raise her two children:

"Didn't consider the area a crime scene,"

Yeah, right!  They've just found a bone fragment on the crime scene, and are in the process of testing it.

An interview would boost the trust fund.

Here's the link to Rick Stern's photos at Radar Online.

There's more photos here at Mercury News, and here at Anorak.  The Guardian has one of inside the house.

This is mind boggling that this was normal for them, they'll need therapy forever ..

Blue Crush:The place was'nt considered a crime scene at the time he took the photo's. The bone was found today, the photo's were taken last Fri/Sat. So 'yeah right' to you too.And its Nick Stern, not Rick Stern. Yay for paying attention! Glad you've been enjoying the photo's tho, and for all the links....

Right lets get this straight.I have spoken with the photographer who shot these pictures.Firstly he has been misquoted by the New York Times. What he claims he said was that he was suprised that the scene didn't appear to be treated as a crime scene by the cops. No police do not cross tape, no cops guarding the place, not even a cop car in the street...He has worked on many crime investigations so he should know what should happen...Its a shame the cops, social workers or neighbors didn't show his initiative. If they had they may have saved Jaycee and her daughter from years of hell and abuse...

God please bless this young girl and her daughters.  I cannot amagine as a parents losing a daughter or son.  This is the worse nightmare anyone can go through.  I pray that she has a strong personality and strong mind to put all this behind and laugh and remember all the great times.  I personally think her step dad deserves a day of praise - he was blamed - look at what they did to jon bonet ramsey - her mother died being blamed - it killed her.  well the news media killed a marriage and the ignorant reporters need to throw him a fantastic party and make a "large contribution" to the Jaycee Dugard fund.
