Jenni-Lyn Watson's Body Likely Found: Missing Ballerina's Remains
Police Have Released a Statement Saying They Believe They Have Likely Found the Remains of 20-Year-Old Jenni-Lyn Watson
They have not issued a positive ID of the remains as of this time, but they have found the remains of a body inside Clay Central Park, just four miles from Watson's home.
Watson had come home to Syracuse New York for Thanksgiving, but now the police say the remains they have found are consistent with those of a young white woman in her 20s.
"Logic and common sense tell us it is likely the remains of Ms. Watson," Fitzpatrick said.
A formal identification is expected at some point today.
It is not known if anyone has been questioned in the case, but Watson's family has been notified of the findings according to police.
She went missing last Friday after returning home from Mercyhurst College in Erie Pa, where she was studying dance. She was last seen Friday morning at home, but when her parents and sister returned home that afternoon, Watson was gone.
Police are expected to hold a press conference this afternoon with more information.
