Jennifer Feitz, a 36-year-old passenger on a Norwegian Pearl cruse ship, has been reported as missing.

The Coast Guard  is searching for Feitz, who may have fallen overboard while the cruise ship was traveling off the coast of Cancun, Mexico.

Feitz's husband reported a missing cruise ship passenger to staff at 3:50 a.m. Friday morning. After determining that a woman was missing from the cruise ship, staff contacted the Coast Guard, which sent a jet to help in the search. The Mexican government is also sending a helicopter to help with the search.

This just seems to be the latest scheme to get rid of someone you love. I hope she does turn up ok. But at this point, it just looks like another person gone missing on a cruise ship.

Apparently it was someone they DIDN'T love.  Sorry to be so immediately suspicious but if you have ever been on a cruise ship you would know it is next to impossible to fall overboard accidentally.

When I first read this, I immediately thought foul play. I have never been on a cruise ship, but I would imagine it would be pretty difficult to "just fall off".

I happened to travel and depart from Miami on the same day but on the NCL Jewel.  The hand rails are high enough to get to my chest and I am 5'10".  It is almost impossible to turn overboard.  I just got home and saw the news on TV, it is awful for her and her family.  I have little kids and I always like a hawk.  Even the glass deck has small open areas that a child wouldnt fit.  I highly suspect foul play her.

If your married and its not happily then maybe a cruise is a good idea. Either you patch things up and make nice nice.. or you get to see Jesus alot sooner then you expected.lol

WHY DID HE REPORT HER MISSING SO LATE ???  SOUNDS LIKE SOME ONE HAD TOO MUCH TO DRINK???

Well  guess there wont be any spousal alimony payments either ,he petersoned her

The problem is that these crimes never seem to get investigated properly or go through the court system like any other crime committed in the U.S.  Somehow these diabolical spouses have begun to snap to the fact that this is a crime they can get away with.  The fact the ship is in a foreign country when the "loved one" disappears already puts the case at an extreme disadvantage. You notice she doesn't disappear in U.S. territorial waters. NCL is a good cruise line, I have cruised with them.  I never saw anything remotely suspicious, their crew was always so professional.

Missing woman's family

Please think about what you write from the perspective of the family. Would you appreciate coming across a site and reading a response that calls a missing loved one "fish food" or hear that they were "petersoned" by their spouse? That a cruise is the best place to "off" your someone you don't love or that any remark at all should provoke an "lol?" Didn't think so. I can tell you for a fact that not everything that is written in the news is to be believed. There is always more to the story.

I too have beenon several cruises and I really don't see how anyone can just fall overboard. I truly hope that Jennifers family insist on a full investigation and continues to push forward until this is solved. God bless you

I AGREE YOU CAN NOT JUST FALL OVERBOARD I'VE BEEN ON SEVERAL CURISES ALSO. SOMETHING IS WRONG ABOUT THIS

I totally agree about the callous and insensitive comments.  It is a direct reflection on our society of how relationships and marriage and children are totally devalued.  I would not be so suspicious if this were not happening at an alarming rate in this country.  Women and children going missing almost daily.  And in almost all cases the perpetrator has been someone who claimed to love them.  The talk news shows and tabloids make a fortune off of this and it is as sick as the crime itself.

Does the cruise ship continue it's course?  I guess they'd have to as there is notmuch they can do.  I don't know, but I am sure nancy grace will be all over this one soon.

By the way, the Coast Guard issued a corrected report, the woman's last name is not Feitz, it is Seitz.

I just read this story on the news, and they claimed that there was a security video that shows what they beleive could be Jennifer Feitz falling overboard, so the husband isn't being detained right now.

Personally I think it's a killer. Alot of people have gone missing on these cruises for the past couple of years. So if someone could kill these people and just throw them overboard it would be the perfect crime. Finding a body out there would be next to impossible.

FIRST OFF,

MY PRAYERS ARE WITH THE FAMILY.

Next, I am a frequent cruiser. I go on a cruise at least twice a year.  With that being said, I must agree with anyone who has said it is quite hard to just "fall" off of these ships.  One of two things would have to happen. Either you climb the rail and jump , or you are picked up and thrown over the rail.  Those are THE ONLY OPTIONS!! Now, I am definitely not saying that the husband did it or the staff did it or that she jumped herself. I wasn't there, so I don't know.  I hope that the real story is uncovered.

I been on 16 Cruises and believe me it's hard to fall overboard unless you climb and someone pushes you.People get so drunk and act like Idiot's .As far as Cruise Staff  is concerned they hardly on the Decks that hour of the night, they have worked their 14 hr shift's and they are tired.Look at the Husband

Don't know if there is any truth to it but on another blog, someone who was in the cabin directly below heard screaming and yelling at about 8 on Christmas night.  They said they distinctly heard someone saying "stop hitting me", they reported it to the ship's security.  Nothing was done.  About 8 different people who were on cruise have said they were completely unaware that anyone was even missing until they heard it on cnn.

i have been on the Princess Caribbean. We were walking towards the bow of the ship. The day was beautiful but the winds were super strong. Several times we felt as if we were going to be swept overboard. I'm not a lightweight either and this wind was kicking my butt. Just something to think about. I would not rule out hte husband tho'

railings of cruiseships are pretty high, higher then a regulair railing in a starcase of a building.

as told before, hardly impossible to ''just'' fall overboard.

this must be suiceside or murder

I was on the Pearl when Jenniger went overboard. I woke up early everyday on the cruise to run and exercise. I thought I was the first one up.I met a man who told me his name was Ray on the 13th deck of the boat. I had to walk past the outside bar to get to the running track. He struck up a conversation with me. He was drinking all night and drunk and blaming his drunken state on missing his dead mother who died two years ago. I told him to go get coffee and that he drinks because he drinks and that grief is just his excuse. When I told him that he could have made Christmas fun for a child he said he can't adopt any because he had domestic abuse charges. When I saw the wedding photo of Ray Seitz I swear it is the same man. He struck me self absorbed.I didn't want to hear anything about me.A pitiful man. I told my husband about Ray on the cruise and now wonder if its the same guy.

Thanks for sharing this - at what point in the cruise did you meet him, shortly before Jennifer was reported missing?  What was your experience on the cruise like otherwise, given the circumstances?  It must have been pretty alarming for all of the cruise passengers.

I was on this boat.  There were several announcements for Jennifer to call the Steward's Desk on Christmas night as we were departing Cozumel.  This is standard procedure if a pax who disembarked at the port-of-call is not showing as re-boarded in the ship's computer.  The pages stopped after no more than 3, I believe.

I share the opinion there is no way to "fall" overboard without intending to or assistance.

I was on this cruise ship when Jennifer supposiley fell off. We didn't even know someone was missing until someone saw it on CNN. I talked with the family who was next door to their stateroom and they said they heard them arguing. The staff did not make any announcement that they were looking for somebody.
