Jennifer Riojas, Teacher Accused of Having Sex with Students, is Pregnant

Jennifer Riojas, a former science teacher at Carter-Riverside High School in Fort Worth, Texas, was arrested this week for sexual assault. Jennifer Riojas' arrest stems from sex abuse charges after she was accused of having sex with two students at her school.

The police were tipped off when one of the students, a sophomore, found out that Jennifer Riojas was pregnant, and that he may be the father of her unborn child. Jennifer Riojas was 25 at the time of the affair; the student was 16.

According to the student, whose name has been withheld, he and Jennifer Riojas first had sex when he was hospitalized for a football injury, and the affair continued after that.

Jennifer Riojas resigned as the allegations surfaced, but has asserted her innocence.

According to the arrest affidavit, Riojas had sex with an underage football player who she taught last year, when the student was in 10th grade.

Students at the school were abuzz Thursday with the news of Riojas' arrest.

"I heard some rumors, so I thought they were messing around," said one student. "I asked him too, and he said, he was just laughing, so that's when I thought, yeah, he was messing around with the teacher."
