Jeremiah Wright Demands Race and Privilege are the Central Obama Campaign Issues

Attacks on him are really attacks on the black church, claims theRev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. in a speech to the National Press Club inWashington, D.C. Monday. Throughout his speech—which was more of asermon to a willing congregation—Wright compared South Africa’sformer apartheid to the current treatment of black Americans in theUSA.

Wright continued hisrailing against anyone who questions his sermons as unpatriotic. Thisissue surfaces at the worst possible time for the African AmericanPresidential hopeful following Obama’s glorified lecture to theAmerican People on race trying to save his campaign and explain awayhis 20+ years of close relationship with Pastor Jeremiah Wright,while denouncing his remarks.
