What is this confusion in religion?

I would like very much to enfasise that my wish is not to offend anyone but this idea of Jesus and God being one really confuses me.

I would like to have some serious discussion on the subject.

I understand in Christianity it is believed that Jesus is God in the flesh but I do not understand where this idea comes from. From my knowledge this is mentioned nowhere in the existing bible that we have today.

I am curious as to how modern day Christians can use this English bible as their source of authority when Christian scholars themselves have stated that they do not even have a copy of a copy of a copy(ect) of the original to be able to translate it acuratly.

I also have a couple of questions,

In cirtain verse in the bible it is stated that Jesus fell prostrate and prayed, who was he praying to?

At this point I would like to use a verse from the bible where Jesus said to a man Whyfor dost thou call me good? none is good but OUR father in HEAVEN.

NOTE. the use of the words OUR and HEAVEN which would imply that their was a being seperate from Jesus and that he was UP in heaven.

ALSO,

If Jesus is God who sent the angel Gabriel to Mary to tell her she was with child when pregnant with Jesus?

If Jesus is God (and God cant die as we know) then who died on the cross?

Another school of thought that is strange is that Jesus is the son of God.

Can someone explain how God could have a son, what is the basis of Christian belief in this idea?

Muhammed did many good things in the Quran and the Hadiths. He also preached many excellent things as charity, forgiveness,"peace" but many details of his life are horrifying to me.I cant go in-depth here. His mass murder of 900 Jews after they surrendered to him, Sleeping with 9year old Aisha when he was about 53yrs old, robbing caravans to finance his "empire", murder and approved murder of opponents including a woman with about 3 children in the night on her bed. The Quran u say is scientific but knowlege may come throgh demonic or divine revelaation. Muhammed nature of recieving the revelations(being strangled in adark cave by an "angel", foaming in his mouth, being sad and depressed during and after revelations are signs to me of demon possesion(Read the account of the healing of the epileptic in Gospel books). It seems just like temporal lobe epilepsy. The story in the Bible of Daniel in Nebuchadnezzers palce excelling in knowledge and science. U think science then was all about counting stones and the duration of the moon"s cycle. I believe Humans have been long inteligent and have produced wonderful devices and science. Knowledge is power and it is most likely empires were serious about technolgy and science, though some science they knew then was flawed in the light of our knowlege today. Science has existed since and perhaps by some historically undocumented way found its way into our "Quran of today".

The Bible we belive as Christians is inspired of God. We do ot claim that God wrote it with his own hands. I think of the Gospel books and perhaps other books of the Bible as "each depicting a 2-dimensional image of Jesus".We are to "construct in our minds and heart 3-dimensional or even 4-dimensional understanding or imageof Jesus. If some people were given snapshots of u 4rm different angles or perspective some " smart" or "wise" ones will gather the picture and start saying "You see this part of him appears here and this part is not inthis other pictue. It probably isn"t the same person". But some "smart" ones will understand that the purpose of all the 2D pictures is not to criticise or see how one differs from another but to construct an overall 3D idea of the person. Some authors of some books in our BIBLE today take ashot of Jesus from the flesh or human perspective. Infact even the same author may capture some flesh perspective and also some "God" perspective of Jesus. Some other authors mar capture e.g John may capture more of the God perspective of Jesus. The most important part of this great religions is not tounderstand or feel u know the wisdom,IQ, number, weigh, height, density, colour ofGod but to understand his will for mankind- He wants us to love each other and respect him. And part of his greatest gift to mankind was his ownself i  the 4m of Jesus. We should not discard the atonement by the blood of Jesus. During my browsing hrs yesterday. I came across and interesting discover that the "Ark of the convenat was most likely under where Jesus was crucified and it is likely during the earthquake at abt the time of Jesus death his blood went throghthe cracks to the Mercy seat of the Ark of the convenant.

Is it illogical to say diamond is carbon. Assuming people first discoverd graphite and the only form of carbon known was graphite. would it be wrong if diamond says "Graphite, Graphite , why are art thogh darkening me". Some say say aha u see diamond is not carbon. If diamond says "I can reflect no light of my own it is due to the arrangenent of carbon atoms in me". If diamond says" Why callest thogh me lubricant (or soft,) no object is soft except graphite". Diamond and graphite  are carbon allotropes but carbon has revealed itself to us in 2 different ways 1 Diamond 2 Graphite. Also funny is the fact that graphite can be conerted to Diamond. These are both carbon but with extremely opposite xteristic. We know they are both carbon only after some scientific experiments. So is it to me with Jesus and Yahweh of the Old Testament. They are both revelations (allotropes if u may) of God but their different "physical characteristics" should not make us claim they aren"t equal(they are equal in their chemical composition)

You claim science is in the Quran, then one question for you. Why is it that the people (whose book has no science or relatively less science as u may want to claim)- The Jews and the Christians are responsible for many scientific research, developments, and achievemts.Even the scientists who have made great discoveries and were not theists grew up in a Christianzed or Judaized environ. Or is it that the Arabs are less intelligent. I have read many of themiracle or science claims of the Quran and I see one thing- The Arabs or Muslims simply wait for Christians or Jews or scientists who grew up in Judeo-Christian environments to burn their blood, time and energy and come up with great discoveries. The they(Muslims) find a verse or chapter of the Quran which they can quickly manipulate and the "the Quran is scientic and was far ahead of its time". The Bible too can be showwn to contain much science if only Christians sit down and check it very well or "manipulate verses to seem scientific". I really pity those"scientists" who after sweating hard become decieved to believe the Quran is scientific.

If you are truly a Christian then you should know that the language Jesus spoke was Aramaic and that the Aramaic word for God is Allah.

The meaning of the word al-ilah is 'the god' or the deity.Your al-ilah can be different from my al-ilah. If Jesus mentioned the word allah he must have been refering to the allah of the Jews who is YHWH. It really pains me the jews refused to pronounce the name of their god It would have been nice to know his name. But as for Mohammed his al-ilah was one of the gods of the pagan Meccans. His father's name is Abdallah meaning'slave of Alah'. Thus most certainly one of the 360 idols or so which probably was considered the mightiest or the strongest( likely a moon god) was Muhammed's al-ilah. But stories of the Jews and the Christians which Muhammed heard as this people he sometimes met on his trips must have influenced his 'rebranding' of Allah, thus today many ignorantly conclude that the Jewish god is the same as the Muslim god.

hello.just wanna share this to you. there is what you call Holy Trinity, it's hard for us humans to understand because God has different mind with us, of course. In Holy Trinity, there is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.God the Father is the one Jesus prayed upon, the one that sent the angel to tell Mary about being pregnant.God the Son is Jesus. He is 100% God and 100% Man (read John 1). He became man because we, humans can't reach God, so God think of a way to save us from our sins or simply from going to hell and that solution is God the Son (Jesus) be flesh and die on the cross. Yes, because he is 100% human, he died BUT because he is also 100% God, he ROSE AND LIVE AGAIN. :)God the Holy Spirit, is the comforter. Holy Spirit is the seal when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. When you accepted Jesus, Holy Spirit will be with us too. Whenever you feel agitated to undertand this. just think of an egg. Egg has egg yolk, egg white and egg shell.  You cannot call an egg, an egg if it has no eggyolk same if it has no egg white or no egg shell. And whole in whole, it is an egg.  Just compare it to the Holy Trinity.:)

Mohammed worshiped the Allah (God) of Moses and Jesus. God is also not an egg, Lol

These were great questions.  I have studied these very same questions and found a possible answer:  The Oneness Pentecostal believe that Jesus was a man in whom dwelt the Spirit of God.  That Spirit is the same omnipresent spirit that we know as God the father. Just as God dwelt among His people in the tabernacle and the wilderness and in the Temples in Jerusalem, He dwelt in the man Jesus.  If you would like to read more about this subject, read David Bernard's "THE ONENESS OF GOD."  Personally, I pick and choose what I believe to be true from the various denominations.  I am skeptical of any denomination that claims to be the only true denomination with all the Truth. Most denominations don't even baptize in the mode of the apostles:  Acts 2:38, Acts 8:16; Acts 10:48, and Acts 19:5.  It is true that Jesus is recorded as having said to baptize in The Name of The Father, and The Son, and The Holy Ghost; however, we only know the Father's and Son's Names: YHWH and Yeshua (and some dispute the correct pronunciation of these names).  However, if you read where Jesus told the apostles to take neither silver, no gold, no script for their journeys and than read the story of Peter and John entering the temple through the Gate called Beautiful, it is unlikely that they baptized in any method or mode contrary to that which was taught them by Jesus.  Paul implies also that the early Christians were baptized in Jesus' Name.

Also, it is very possible that Jesus was born on the Feast of Tabernacles and that John was born on Passover.  We know that the Holy Spirit was poured out on the Feast of Pentecostal. And, Jesus may have rose on a Feast Day.One of the signs by which we can know that Jesus was the Messiah is that he spent three days and three nights in the grave as Jonah did in the large fish.  Consequently, that makes for an unlikely Friday Execution.  It is more likely he was killed on Wednesday or Thursday and rose during the night hours between Friday and Saturday.
