Jet makes emergency landing after smoke report
An American Airlines flight made an emergency landing after smoke was found in the cabin. Firefighters arrived at the site but no fire was detected.
LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Passengers have been evacuated by inflatable chutes from an American Airlines jetliner after an emergency landing at Los Angeles International Airport.

Firefighters were on hand Tuesday to help passengers as they slid down two emergency chutes aboard the plane.
The airport reports smoke was detected in the cabin before the landing.
A city fire department spokesman says no fire had been discovered. No injuries were reported.
Yet another plane fiasco takes place. This is breaking news by the way unfortunately I can't flag it as such. I'll try to put up more as I find more info.
The flight number was 81 and some of the passengers have reportedly suffered minor injuries.
