Colleen LaRose, also known as 'Jihad Jane' Pleads Not Guilty to Four Terrorism Charges

Colleen LaRose, also known as "Jihad Jane" and "Fatima LaRose", an American citizen indicted in a conspiracy to murder Swedish cartoonist Lars Vilks, has pleaded not guilty to charges of supporting terrorism.

Jihad Jane is one of eight people arrested in connection to the plot to kill Lars Vilks, who was the target of religious-extremist hatred over a cartoon of the Prophet Mohammad. The cartoon, which depicted Islam's founder with the body of a dog, caused outrage in the Muslim world, and Al-Qaeda offered a reward to anyone who murdered Lars Vilks.

So far, three people, including Colleen LaRose, have been charged. LaRose's alleged role in the plot was to recruit men willing to kill, and Western women willing to marry them for visa purposes, as well as raising money for terrorist activity. Also, she allegedly agreed to play a material role int he murder itself, using her appearance (white and blonde) to blend in when visiting Sweden.

Colleen LaRose was arrested on October 15, 2009.

The Justice Department said Colleen LaRose and five co-conspirators recruited men on the Internet "to wage violent jihad in south Asia and Europe."

Intolerance is not monopoly of men, misguided women's history begins with the first woman God created.

An issue which could have been buried deep down by merely ignoring it,was used by fanatics to draw maximum milage by generating a controversy over cartoon issue.Cartoon was a sick mind's manifestation, not provocative.A true follower of the prophet would never issue a death Fatwa or hire killers.
