Joe Doria, New Jersey's Department of Community Affairs Commisioner, has resigned from Governor John Corzine's cabinet in the wake of the NJ corruption arrests following this morning's FBI raids. While Joseph Doria has not been charged  in the federal probe, Doria's resignation was announced today after his office was searched.

SO far, more than 44 people have been arrested in the corruption and money-laundering investigation, including Secaucus Mayor Dennis Elwell, Jersey City Council President Mariano Vega Jr., and State Assemblyman Daniel Van Pelt , as well as Rabbi Saul Kassin .

Early this morning, federal officials raided Doria's Bayonne home and Trenton office amid a federal probe, which netted at least 44 people in a widespread corruption and money-laundering investigation.

What crime is Joe Doria being charged with?

It's easy for a US attorney's office to excite reporters (excitable types by nature) about a Federal Marshall or FBI records raid on Joe Doria and get the resulting hyped "news" coverage of this obviously staged event, Joe's resignation.

What crime is Joe Doria being charged with?

I just want to know, what happens to the people who gave the money in return for favors.  Aren't they corrupt as well?  I hope this works out for the people of NJ.  We suffer enough in todays economy
