Johanna Ganthaler, who missed her flight onboard Air France Flight 447, died in a car accident in Kufstein, Austria. Her husband, Kurt Ganthaler, was seriously injured.
Kurt and Johanna Ganthaler missed Flight 447, the doomed Paris-bound plane out of Rio de Janeiro, which crashed into the Atlantic Ocean on May 31, 2009, killing all 228 people onboard.
Johanna Ganthaler, a pensioner from Bolzano-Bozen province, had been on holiday in Brazil with her husband Kurt and missed Air France Flight 447 after turning up late at Rio de Janeiro airport on May 31.
After missing their flight, the couple had flown out of Rio de Janeiro the next day. Ganthaler was killed when her car swerved and collided with an oncoming truck.

It doesn't matter where you are. When you're time is up your time is up

It would all be very Ancient Grecian, if these people had somehow suspected/known something beforehand and deliberately tried to avoid such an end...this also reminded me of the professor who had survived the Holocaust and was killed by the Virginia Tech shooter while protecting his students.

I read this story in one of the big newspapers it was only a small snipet but it really interested me, I find conspiracy theories facinating and I believe that there is more to the Air France incident then the government are letting on. When I read this story it sent shivers down my spine if you have seen the film Final Destination you will know what I mean. Apparently when they found the victims from this plane crash none were in their seats which I found strange surely if they knew they were going down they would have been in their seats with seatbelts on braced for a crash landing, I dont know the full facts but there is more to this story than meets the eye.

Well, it can also be explained by behavior that is typical to these people. Miss a plane, there's a good chance you're a ditz. Ditzy behavior leads to accidents, etc.

Uh, first of all, Manifest Destiny was the advancement west in search of new land during the Colonial Times. And also this is the craziest thing ever if the husband dies too. Whenever I hear about a downed plane, I immediately think of ABC's "LOST" just by force of habit, but hearing about this unfortunate accident really just screams "Final Destination." Freaky.
