John Dennis Gillane Identified As The Reno Walmart Shooter
John Dennis Gillane, 45, Has Been Identified as the Man Responsible For the Shooting Inside a Reno Walmart Friday Morning

John Dennis Gillane has now surrendered to police after two hours of negotiations. Police said he was taken into custody peacefully and will now be booked on three counts of attempted murder. Police did not say how many shots were fired or if Gillane made any demands before surrendering, but they considered the operation to have had a successful outcome.

Sources say Gillane entered the store on Kietzke Lane at about 8:30am, carrying a small caliber handgun and shot in the direction of three employees.
One of those employees has now been released from hospital, while one remains in serious condition and the other is in critical but stable condition.
The Reno-Gazette Journal reports that Gillane is an employee of the store, and he was to be counseled as to his employment status today.
He is 6 feet tall, 170 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes and is currently located in the north side of the building and is thought to be negotiating with police.
