John Graziano, the man who was riding in the car with Nick Hogan, the son of Hulk Hogan, when they were street racing two years ago, has been released from hospital today.

He has been in hospitals since the accident, the latest being the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, and he has been suffering from severe brain damage and will need 24-hour-care for the rest of his life.

John Graziano is a 24-year-old Iraq war veteran who suffered severe head injuries as a passenger when the car that Hogan was driving crashed in to a palm tree and it broke parts of Graziano's skull. Hogan was unharmed.

Graziano's mother Debra spoke to the local press.

Debra Graziano said her son was leaving "the best hospital imaginable." He would continue to need 24-hour care and will be assisted by nurses, friends and family, she said.

"I just thank God this day did happen," Debra said. "I have a strong faith in the Lord. He will get me through it."

Graziano has spent time in the Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, then a Virginia hospital. His father is currently in prison awaiting trial on the charge that he tried to kill his wife.

Nick Hogan spent five months in jail for reckless driving and is being sued for Graziano's medical bills.
