John McCain blames fires on illegal’s
It is surely possible that some fires in Arizona might have been caused by illegal immigrants. However, if that is the case, why isn’t the entire nation of bordering Mexico not on fire?
I have seen the fires along the border, not hundreds but thousands.
Dave and Cody, the Dual Survival Team has not been through these parts for awhile and they always put out their fires before breaking camp.
“Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) is defending his claim that illegal immigrants are responsible for some wildfires in the state. After touring the site of a huge wildfire on Saturday, McCain said that he had “substantial evidence” that illegal immigrants were partially to blame. McCain said later that he was speaking of a different fire. A joint statement with Sen. Jon Kyl and Reps. Jeff Flake and Paul Gosar (all of Arizona) backed up McCain in a statement today: “During our tour of the damaged areas caused by the Wallow Fire on Saturday, we were briefed by senior Forest Service officials, one of whom informed us that some wildfires in Arizona (across our southern border) are regrettably caused by drug smugglers and illegal immigrants."”

Well, freedom of speech is one thing but saying something that has no evidence to back up is another. Regardless of which side people support, McCain should not state something as a fact when it is not a fact. Next time it would be better to take some time to research the issue before blaming all Arizona´s problems on illegal immigrants.
